Sit #133 – Nov 2024

If I could give them 10 stars I would! Vanessa and Ian were great from the very first introductory call.

It’s obvious that they have been doing house sits for a very long time, and that this is a lifestyle they are very well adapted to! Juno was extremely well looked after, with long walks and lots of cuddle time. Our house was left immaculate and they even dealt with some unplanned garden jobs during our trip as we had some unexpected weather.

A lovely couple, who we would welcome back anytime!

Sit #132 – Mar 2024 – Nov 2024

LONG-TERM SIT (ended this year)

This is our fourth (and final!) full year taking care of Anne and Gordon’s beautiful French property. They have now sold their second home in order to travel further afield to enjoy new adventures.

We are so grateful for the opportunity they have given us to live in this lovely area. We’ve enjoyed it so much that over the past 4 years here we have become French residents, bought our own little property in the neighbouring village, and have converted the old garage there into a tiny home.

When we return to France in March 2025 we’ll be living full-time in our own home, for the first time in over 10 years! We’ll still be fitting in a few house sits of course!

Sit #131 – Sep 2024 – Oct 2024

Just brilliant !! Best of all, Vanessa and Ian managed to win over our cat very quickly. Our cat being very shy of strangers. We can’t thank them enough !!!

Sit #130 – Jul 2024 – Aug 2024

It was wonderful to see Ian and Vanessa again and they looked after the dogs brilliantly. Perfect amount of comms while we were away and the house was neat and tidy when we returned.

If you get the chance for them to house sit. Take it! Huge thanks to you both.

Sit #129 – Jun 2024

REPEAT SIT

6 month old Poppy had the special treat of Ian and Vanessa coming to stay for 10 days. She had an abundance of TLC and fun with them.

Poppy discovered new walks up the mountain with them which she really enjoyed, and we enjoyed the photos! We had numerous updates through the visit to keep us up to date with her progress and activities.

They continued her training regime including whistle recall, sitting and staying, and behaving in the car. A muddy Poppy was cleaned down after walks, and her ears which can get dirty were cleaned too. Her towels and bedding were also cleaned.

A slightly fussy eater, she settled down to eating her food in the mornings and enjoyed carrots, broccoli stem, etc as extra treats!

We had to extend our trip by a couple of days and Vanessa and Ian liaised with and arranged a very good handover of Poppy and all her belongings / food to a friend.

The chalet was left beautifully clean and the garden and plants all well kept. Over and above that we enjoyed their company for supper the evening before we left… and we (in particular Poppy) really hope we see them both again.
